The Railways of Devon and Cornwall

Welcome to The Railways of Devon and Cornwall!

Current Version : v6
Released 18th June 2018

Devon Rails is now The Railways of Devon and Cornwall (‘RDC’)! We’ve added the Cornish Main Line as far as Liskeard, and will extend to Penzance in the near future. It all started with DTG’s ‘Riviera Line’, but RDC substantially adds to and extends it.

Since Devon Rails v5 we’ve added new detailed scenery from Saltash to St Germans, Coleford Junction to Copplestone, and Paignton to Kingswear. And we’ve just about completely renewed scenery from Newton Abbot to Totnes and Powderham to Cockwood. We’ve also corrected errors and problems that people have reported, including replacing four or five platforms that were giving some people load/unload problems.

RDC will continue to be updated. At the moment there’s detailed scenery for:

Exeter to Plymouth, Exmouth, Honiton, Copplestone and Meldon Quarry

Newton Abbot to Paignton (from the Riviera Line)

The Paignton to Dartmouth Railway (all new)

Plymouth to St Germans and Gunnislake

There is partial scenery for:

Cowley Bridge Junction to Tiverton Parkway.

St Germans to Menheniot

And line, signalling and stations only for:

Honiton to Axminster

Copplestone to Barnstaple

Tiverton Parkway to Bristol Temple Meads

Menheniot to Liskeard

Totnes to Buckfastleigh (The South Devon Railway)

We’ll steadily fill in missing detail and new route features over time. We’re ke4en to keep everything as up to date as possible, for example by adding the new Exeter deport and the planned new stations at Marsh Barton and Okehampton East. Please let us know about any part of the route that has fallen out of date!

RDC v2 will include track, signaling and stations to Penzance, detailed scenery will reach Liskeard and beyond, and there will be more detailing from Cowley bridge to Whiteball tunnel and northwards on the Tarka Line.

We will also renew the scenery between Totnes and Plymouth and Newton Abbot and Paignton to meet current RDC standards.

In due course we’ll add the Plym Valley Railway, the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway, and the Cornish branches. It will take some time to complete the Railways of Devon and Cornwall, but in the end they’ll all be there.
